Oh, We Have A New Server :: Can You Say Fast!

The speed of our site has been a concern for some time. We’ve tried a few things, but the answer was obvious - a new server. So, we decided to make the move.
To give you the kind of experience you need with our very heavy multimedia site … we took the plunge and now have a beautiful dedicated server for Camp ASCCA. Yep, our very own.
Try it out. Tell us if you experience a refreshing new speed. :o)
Combine this new server with our relatively new broadband T1 internet access (plus wifi, too) and you’re in for a lot of fun this summer.
Look out for more videos, more photos and … wait for it … live streaming video! No kidding. ;o) We’ll be using the new Seero video / GEO network.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention a big thank you to Auburn software engineering student Jon Garr. He helped make this happen with his work on the server. So, Jon … thank you! Ya’ know, we gotta get Jon up to ASCCA this summer.
OK, have at it folks. Enjoy the new server and get ready for much more on the Camp ASCCA digital social network. By the way, check out the new part of the site - ASCCA Friends. That’s our very own social network running on the Ning network.

Yea for website speed!
At last, a server that is not pre historic!
