The Andalusia Rotary Club has announced sponsorship opportunities or “camperships” available to children and adults with disabilities from the Andalusia area wishing to attend Easter Seals Camp ASCCA this summer.
To be considered, a camper must have a financial need in paying the full camp fee of $650 to attend a summer session, must meet camper eligibility requirements, and be approved to attend Camp ASCCA. To receive a Summer 2006 Camp ASSCA camper application, call 1-800-THE-CAMP or visit Camp ASCCA’s Web site at www.campascca.org. To request sponsorship from the Andalusia Rotary Club, please call Rotary member Jim Krudop at (334) 493-3573, etc. 5334.
The Camp ASCCA mission is to help children and adults with disabilities achieve equality, dignity and maximum independence. This is to be accomplished through a safe and quality program of camping, recreation and education in a year-round barrier-free environment. Easter Seals Camp ASCCA provides services to children and adults with disabilities ages 6 years old to adult. To learn more about Camp ASCCA, its programs, receive an application, or to schedule a tour this summer, please call the office at (256) 825-9226 or email Dana Rickman at dana@campascca.org. Camp ASCCA is located in Jackson’s Gap on Lake Martin.
