Thirty-six years ago, 20 million people celebrated the very first Earth Day. It’s amazing the progress that we’ve made in protecting our environment since then. Just within our own country, Congress has passed numerous legislation to improve air and water quality and to otherwise preserve our precious planet. We still have a long way to go and will continue with such efforts. (For a full history of Earth Day, visit the Web site of the Environmental Protection Agency.)
To celebrate Earth Day, Camp ASCCA will be opening its Oscar C. Dunn Rotary Environmental Center on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. We invite you to come out and explore the center and learn a little about the many wonders of nature.
