Camp ASCCA Journal - Therapeutic Recreation

SThe spring 2006 issue of East Alabama Living featured a nice article about Camp ASCCA. Many thanks to Kathleen Penton for writing the piece! The article opens with this wonderful story:

The young boy was flying high on the zip-line for the first time, but the camp’s outdoor adventure director couldn’t tell if the look on his face was fear or excitement. When he turned to ask the boy’s teacher, he saw tears rolling down her cheeks. She said in the 11 years she’d known him, this was only the second time that she’s every seen him smile or laugh.
