The youngest camper at Sickle Cell Camp

With a different colored barrette at the end of every braid, 8-year-old Akiera Wilson is Michelle Keener’s only camper this week, but you will see her holding hands and hugging almost every counselor that walks by.

Akiera is the youngest of all the sickle cell campers this week and has won a place in every one of our hearts this week. She is always talking to someone so I thought maybe she would talk to me about camp.
