Alabama Head Injury Foundation :: Susie Montgomery
AHIFis the Alabama Head Injury Foundation. They have been coming to Camp ASCCA for about 20 years. It is a favorite camp of ours and always brings in fun campers.
The Alabama Head Injury Foundation (AHIF) was founded by professionals and families in 1983 to increase public awareness of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and to stimulate the development of supportive services. Today, AHIF is among the largest state brain injury associations in the nation with model programs and statewide services.
AHIF comes to visit us twice each year. Susie Montgomery is the director of therapeutic recreation for AHIF and is with us for her sixteenth summer.
We were fortunate to be able to pull Susie away for a few minutes during the busy check-in and ask her some questions about AHIF and their history with Camp ASCCA.
