Matt McMillon :: Counselor and Program Staff - All In One
Matt McMillon came to Camp ASCCA to build great projects for our campers. He decided this was where he wanted to spend an entire summer, so we got him for three months this summer. Something tells me, Matt will be back again.
A student at the University of North Carolina - Wilmington, Matt was majoring in nursing. He has since changed his major to therapeutic recreation. Hmm? Wonder if Camp ASCCA played an influencing role there.
Matt’s a remarkable guy. I caught him in the pool today giving a workout to a camper from AHIF.
Kind and genuinely friendly, Matt is also a bear of a guy. Yet, the care he exhibits when working with his campers is, to me, quite gentle and caring. So, I guess that makes Matt a kind of Teddy Bear of a guy. His really strong, too, so transfers of campers is his specialty.
I spoke with Matt about his summer. He’s a great guy and I think you’ll enjoy hearing from him. We have always been quite fortunate in finding great counselors, over the years. Matt is just one more example of how good they are. The video is 3:35 in length and a 5.7 mb download.
