Slideshow from ASCCA Adult Camp Two and AHIF
As our summer winds down, this is the final slideshow from our summer camps - Adult Camp Two and the Alabama Head Injury Foundation (AHIF) camps. This was also the last week for the majority of our summer counselors, so it was kind of emotional.
The end of the summer always brings on a few tears. They are tears of happiness, actually, but stem from the realization that this year’s summer camp activities have come to a close.
This time of year always reminds me of the Camp ASCCA Goodnight Song:
When we grow too old to dream
We’ll have you to remember.
When we grow too old to dream
Your love will live in our hearts.
So campers hold hands
And say we’ll never part.
For Camp ASCCA and all our friends
Will live within our hearts.
See the rest of the song’s lyrics in a previous ASCCA post.
Just remember, this is goodnight, and not goodbye. Camping activities continue at ASCCA. In fact, we have a group coming in this weekend and another next week. Our activity level actually doesn’t drop off until late November, and even then - we still have camps and trips.
