Camp America :: Part 2

There are always two sides to any story. But talk to anyone about Camp America, and you’ll always hear the same thing.

Each year Matt Rickman, Camp Director, is responsible for staffing Camp ASCCA for the busy summer season. He hires young adults from a variety of places, sometimes even from overseas. That’s where Camp America comes in.

Camp America allows Matt to search through their applicant database and choose students that he feels will be a good fit for Camp ASCCA. Because of the extensive screening process and their outstanding success at Camp ASCCA, Matt doesn’t have to worry about these international hires. They work hard at their jobs and are usually some of the more popular counselors.

Its almost become tradition to have staff members from other countries too. Each year the returning staff looks forward to meeting these newest additions to the Camp ASCCA family. It has been an excellent relationship between the two organizations and we look forward to what next summer brings.
