Parents of Drake Middle Schoolers Get Involved

Day camps offer parents the opportunity to interact with, and observe, their children in unique learning environments.
Sophia Avgeris and John Findley, parent and grandparent of two Drake Middle School students, made the trip to ASCCA as chaperones for this day camp.
Sophia has accompanied her child on school trips before and John has been a scout master for 18 years. Both understand and appreciate the value of participating in their children’s school adventures.
These day camps are quite fun to watch. I particularly enjoyed seeing the parents and teachers taking part in the activities along with the students. I think you’ll enjoy hearing from the parents, too. Meet Sophia and John in the video below. It is 4:10 in length and a 6.8 mb download.
