Ethan Club Visits Camp ASCCA
The Ethan Club is one Dadeville, Alabama’s oldest women’s service organizations. Established in 1957, the mission of the club is to contribute to projects that will benefit the citizens of the Dadeville community.
Camp ASCCA is part of the Dadeville community, and along with other programs and non-profits in the area such as the Dadeville Elementary School and Loaves and Fishes Ministry, we receive annual donations from the Club. Funding comes from fundraisers held by the group, mainly the annual Charity Golf Scramble. The golf event raised over $6,500 dollars this year.
The Ethan Club holds a meeting every month and various locations and member homes in the area. Teri Stephenson (the wife of Administrator John), along with Mrs. Candy Harkins hosted the meeting at the Oscar C. Dunn Rotary Environmental Center.
After enjoying social time and the wonderful food and fall-themed snacks prepared by our hostesses,
Josh Rhodes welcomed us to the Center and gave an overview of the environmentally educational programs for people with and without disabilities that Camp ASCCA serves each year. Josh then hosted a tour of the facility.
After touring the Center, the group held its meeting in which all the necessary business is done of such an organization.
I am a proud new member of this organization and was thrilled to have the group visit Camp ASCCA, my home.
