The Fall Season at Camp ASCCA
Some people think when the summer ends, ASCCA stops. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
Even though summer camp isn’t currently occupying everyone’s time, the busy off-season is well underway. Day camps, family weekends, church retreats and other conventions have filled up the camp calendar this fall. When we aren’t hosting visitors and arranging future groups, staff members are on the recruiting trail, speaking to college classes about the opportunities Camp ASCCA offers.
There are also many changes currently at Camp ASCCA. Project Renew is still underway as we work to upgrade and improve our grounds and facilities. The game room and staff lounge are getting some attention as well as a new parking area near the swimming pool. We’ve also recently made an addition to the maintenance staff, Jeff. I’ll have an interview with Jeff later in the week. Then there’s Kathryn Pyper White, the newest addition to the ASCCA family. Everyone around the office was anticipating their first look at the newborn and now there seems to be a waiting list for who gets to hold her when she visits. Congratulations to Heather and West, I think you might have a couple of babysitting recruits!
We’re still looking for more feedback on the website as well. Email us at info@campascca.org and don’t be shy, tell us how we can improve. Any comments or suggestions would be beneficial in the process. Thanks for your help and support.
