A Natural Fit :: Nonprofits and Blogging
For some time, we’ve been talking about the natural fit between nonprofits and blogging, video blogging and podcasts.
Still, it is often difficult to convince some people. Fortunately, Camp ASCCA’s leadership has seen the wisdom. We’ve seen some remarkable results with finding new campers, finding new counselors and program staff, and bringing greater attention to ASCCA from people we would never have reached before.
So, it was nice to find this post on Non-Profit Blogging from Todd Zeigler, of the The Bivings Report. Todd writes of a November DC Examiner article on the Washington Area Women’s Foundation, one of his clients.
Todd’s list of reasons for blogging by nonprofits is simple:
- It’s inexpensive.
- It’s easy to do.
- It’s a great way to tell a story.
- It’s a great way to raise money.
There is more to his list. Check it out.
Maybe, if we’re lucky, Todd will drop by and tell us how we’re doing. We are into a bit of a redesign, preparing for next summer, so it would be good to hear from an unattached observer.
And how about you? We know you’re reading the blog. The visitor logs don’t lie.
So, what do you think? Let us hear from you. Use the comment link below. Thanks.
