Philadelphia Baptist and Auburn Choir
Over the weekend of January 5-6, Camp ASCCA was visited by the Auburn High School Show Choir and the youth group from Philadelphia Baptist Church, located in Smith Station, AL. Both groups arrived Friday evening and departed after lunch on Saturday.
The Auburn HS choir has come to camp several times in the last few years. They use this retreat to practice for their upcoming performances. Upon arriving, they unpack their gear and transform the camp dining hall into a musical stage. They spend the entire time at camp rehearsing for their performance.
The group from Philadelphia Baptist comes to camp to enjoy a little recreation and christian fellowship. While they were here, they took part in some of the camp’s adventure activities. The youth were put through the ringer on the low ropes course. These activities are designed to enhance the group’s teamworking skills. Trust, Cooperation, and Communication are just some of the skills that are emphasized during these activities.
