Teen Week Awards Banquet

Last Thursday teen week campers enjoyed a wonderful dinner and awards banquet where the program staff and head counselors handed out the end of the week awards.
…The 2007 Teen Week Honor Cabin Award went to Moundville Cabin …
The first group of awards that were handed out were the program awards. The program awards are for each different program that is run throughout the week. Manny Awotona received the horseback award, and the tubing award went to Shanae Heard. Christy West won the demo farm award and the sports and games award went to Zack Woolley.
Gary Hayes was so encouraging at music he won the award and Sarah Hattaway received the pool award because she went everyday. Josh Cusick won the treehouse award and Ryan Mercer won the zip line award, this was the first time for both of them to every complete those programs.
After the program awards were given out the head counselors handed out some camper awards, these are voted on by all of the counselors, program staff, and other staff members. The best first time camper award went to Manny Awotona, Manny was always polite and willing to help someone out. Amber Cotney presented the best female camper award to Laura Lee Hughes. Ryan Mercer received the best male camper award and he was so excited he gave a speech.
The last award of the night was the honor cabin award. This award is based on cabin clean up scores, participation in activities and how well the cabin dressed up for each theme. The 2007 Teen Week honor cabin award went to Moundville cabin!
It was a great week and every camper was awesome. Congratulations to all of the 2007 Teen Week award winners and all of the other campers who accomplished amazing things!
