From her big, bright smile to her pretty blonde hair, counselor Laura Ogle spreads sunshine everywhere she goes! She’s made many friends this summer, and one of them even joined her for an interview.

“Samari” Sam made two visits to camp this summer, so he and Laura had time to become great friends. In their interview below, Sam can tell you why he thinks she’s a great counselor and friend, but at Camp ASCCA, we think it’s because of her many years of camp experience.
Laura has been coming to Camp ASCCA with Camp Seale Harris for many years. She began as a camper, then moved up the ranks to become a CIT, and then finally she became a counselor. Camp Seale Harris only lasts three weeks, though, and Laura wanted to stay a little longer this summer! When she applied to be an ASCCA counselor, our administrations knew she’d be perfect for the job.
Laura is majoring in Collaborative Education at Troy University, and she says working at Camp ASCCA is giving her real life experience that she could never learn from a textbook. Click the video below to meet both Laura and Sam, and let them tell you a little more about themselves and Camp ASCCA!
