Anton Santiago Mixes Education and Fun This Summer

CCounselor Anton Santiago is one of our many staff members gaining educational experience by working at Camp ASCCA. Anton is majoring in Exercise Science at Lipscomb University, and this summer is serving as his senior internship.
Anton says that his experiences at Camp ASCCA will influence his career choices, and he also feels reassured that Exercise Science is the right major for him. As educational as his work here may be, Anton isn’t always so serious. He feels that the camper and counselor interaction is what the campers look forward to most, and he makes sure his campers stay entertained. During his cabin’s tiki party, Anton dressed as an authentic islander and posed for photos throughout the afternoon!
Anton is also a terrific soccer player, as proven in the ASCCA Staff soccer game last night. One of the things he says he likes most about Camp ASCCA is feeling like he is part of a team, and we sure are glad he’s on our team this summer. He is always ready to help out wherever and whenever he is needed, and he was the first counselor to win Counselor of the Week this year!
