JJ Seice :: Enough Said

E

veryone knows that ASCCA stands for Alabama’s Special Camp for Children and Adults, but sometimes it’s still surprising that our adult campers can get the same thrills out of camp activities that the younger ones do. This week, Camp ASCCA has really brought out the kid in camper

…JJ Seice is one of our most popular campers, and he has left an indelible memory in all counselors that have met him…

JJ Seice from Andalusia, Ala.!

JJ Seice and Nathan WatersThis is JJ’s sixth visit to Camp ASCCA. He came for a few summers in the 1990’s, and he’s been coming consecutively since 2005. JJ says the years in between were pretty boring–he just watched television and talked on the phone. He loves coming to Camp ASCCA so much that he actually asked me to interview him so he could tell me about it. His favorite things here, he says, are the girls, tubing, the zipline, and the tower!

JJ also loves that he’s made so many friends here, and one of those friends is his counselor, Matt McMillan. JJ has such a great time with Matt that he specially requested him as his counselor this summer!

JJ is one of many people at camp who commmunicates with a lapboard. It may take him longer than most people to answer questions, but that doesn’t hold back his sense of humor at all! Watch his video to hear him talk about camp, and, JJ’s mom, listen for your special message at the end.

Did you know that Camp ASCCA is in Facebook? If you are too, please go on over and “Friend” Camp ASCCA and join the Camp ASCCA Facebook group, too.
