For Craig Ferguson, Camp ASCCA’s a Family Thing

If you read the Camp ASCCA Journal regularly, the name “Ferguson” might ring a bell. That’s because a few weeks ago, an interview with John Ferguson was posted. Now, we’d like you to meet Mr. Ferguson’s son, Craig!

…Craig Ferguson has never been a stranger to Camp ASCCA…

Craig has been working at Camp ASCCA this summer as a counselor, and this is far from his first visit. Six years ago, Craig began working at the Dadeville campus with his older sister, and he’s been coming back ever since. Even before then, however, Craig was no stranger to Camp ASCCA! Living in nearby Alexander City, Craig used to play at camp with his friend Corey, the son of our previous Camp Director, Tom Collier.

Now that Craig is older, he makes sure that the campers get the same joy at Camp ASCCA that he always has. He must be doing a good job, because he says a camper recently told him that she likes being able to look around Camp ASCCA and not see a single frown!

From watching him interact with the campers, you’d never guess what he considers his biggest challenge–the lack of sleep! Craig stopped for an interview in the middle of a pretty intense soccer game, and neither his soccer skills nor his stories about Camp ASCCA reveal a hint of exhaustion. Learn a little more about Craig, his campers, and his family in the interview below!

Did you know that Camp ASCCA is in Facebook? If you are too, please go on over and “Friend” Camp ASCCA and join the Camp ASCCA Facebook group, too.
