On August 24th, Camp Administrator John Stephenson and I had a quick visit from Mr. Jeff Henderson of GKN Westland Aerospace. As he does each year, he brought with him a generous donation from the GKN Foundation. John is pictured on the left and Jeff on the right.
This gift will support our Campership Fund, providing much needed funds for campers who need full or partial financial assistance in paying the session fee for summer camp each year. Over 95% of our campers need some type of financial assistance!
Thanks to individuals like Mr. Henderson, many campers who will enjoy the benefits of the camp experience and the GKN company are brought together for a great mission! Part of the values of the GKN company is “to contribute positively to the communities in which we operateâ€. They certainly do this each year.
