Wild Apricot’s Mission: To Return Your Sanity :: Nonprofit Blog Exchange Virtual Event

We nonprofit organizations have to be, well - you know - organized.Wild Apricot logo

Thanks to the Nonprofit Blog Exchange Virtual Event , we have now met the good people at Wild Apricot, the developers of Wild Apricot software. They supply “Web-based Membership Database Software with Event Registration, Web Site Management and Much More!”

Wild Apricot is all about web technology and social media tools for nonprofits…

Into the social media thing, like Camp ASCCA, Wild Apricot has a blog, too. It is written by Soha El-Borno - the Creative ApricotSoha El-Borno (ya’ gotta love that name). Pretty photo, too. Sorry, Soha. I stole, um, borrowed it. :)

Soha is the primary writer for Wild Apricot’s blog. She is also a part of Bonasource’s Wild Apricot marketing team. Bonasource “specialize(s) in custom web applications that achieve measurable business results” and is the parent company of New Apricot.

Their blog “is about web technology and social media tools for associations, clubs, charities, and other non-profit and member-based organizations. We focus on the issues and trends relevant to volunteers, administrators, webmasters, and managers seeking to get their sanity back by taming the modern web technologies and using them effectively.”

They also do something pretty cool. Wild Apricot asks their readers to “contribute non-profit technology tips and ideas by email or by commenting on blog entries.” You know, ask you to get involved in the conversation. I like that. Wild Apricot gets the whole “community” idea of social media … or blogs. Kudos to Wild Apricot!

Well, that’s kinda like us. You know, we always want to hear from you. So, please contact us with your ideas for our site - or, for more information about Camp ASCCA. Hey, you can also leave a comment on any of our posts. We need to get you folks more into that process.

Well, Wild Apricot’s software certainly interests Camp ASCCA. We’re always looking for new ideas and tools to keep the workflow going for you. So, I’ve signed up for a test account and we’ll see how it goes. Please visit the Wild Apricot Blog and check them out.

We are always happy when the Nonprofit Blog Exchange Virtual Event rolls around. Many thanks to Emily of the Nonprofit Blog Exchange and Emily’s World, an excellent blog, too.

Did you know that Camp ASCCA is in Facebook? If you are too, please go on over and “Friend” Camp ASCCA and join the Camp ASCCA Facebook group, too.
