The Lake Martin Area United Way planned for its annual “Week of Caring” this past week. There were many volunteers around the Lake Martin area participating in many projects and a number of agencies, but many showed
up here at Camp ASCCA too!
Today, Russell Medical Center staff members came to paint a renovated house on site, and another new site that will be for a new employee, Allison Wetherbee. If you read more about Allison on the website, you’ll learn what a great person she is and why these volunteers wanted to help this house become a reality.
The Russell Medical Center group is a faithful bunch, always arriving on time and working hard. Thanks for coming!
Another group, the Davenport Drywall crew from Alexander City, also worked this week. Curtis Davenport, owner, said he “was happy to help out when United Way called”. So far this week, Mr. Davenport has donated two days of time, and will finish up next week with
another day or so.
We are very blessed to be located in a community of so many talented and generous people. To see another article posted in the local paper, the Alexander City Outlook, click here.
