Camp ASCCA recognizes the need to expand the already great list of activities available. We try to add something new every year … so, here is the newest attraction at ASCCA for 2008!
By the summer of 2008 Camp ASCCA will construct a 2,800 square foot, fully accessible water playground.
This water splash pad will be the first of its kind at Camp ASCCA, to be sure … but, it is also the first of its kind at any Easter Seals Camp nationally!
ASCCA knows that this playground will further the level of enjoyment for our campers by creating yet another opportunity for fun, imaginative play!
The variety and choices of water components are loaded with activities that encourage children of all ages and abilities to be engaged in water play.
The splash pad is a fun, safe way for kids and adults to experience independent discovery, experimentation and exploration with water, and imaginative play. This really adds a special aspect to ASCCA’s aquatics program by providing something fun for those who don’t swim, too.
The activities help to increase movement and exercise while providing additional social interaction opportunities.
The water playground will also provide for a great way to cool off on those hot Alabama summer camp days.
The design and uniqueness of the area will bring positive attention to Camp ASCCA, too. This is an added bonus, as you all know, we gotta get the word out … more people need to visit Camp ASCCA!
