Fourth Annual Commitment to Service Award

The support to Camp ASCCA given by Alabama Rotary clubs and Rotarians as individuals goes back to the beginnings of Easter Seals in Alabama.Lynn Beshear Rotary has been a significant part in the creation and ongoing success of the camp.

This Friday, the Montgomery Sunrise Rotary Club will hold it’s 4th Annual Commitment to Service Award “Roast” to benefit Easter Seals Camp ASCCA. The honoree, or “Roastee”, is Dr. Lynn Beshear of Montgomery. To learn more about Dr. Beshear’s community activities and what she is doing around town to benefit people, visit the Rotary Club’s website and link to the Commitment to Service Award Roast details.

Aqua BucketsFunds raised from this “black tie optional” event will benefit our new Accessible Water Playground. The club has specifically pledged sponsor the Aqua Buckets portion of the playground. Many campers and visitors have already experienced the excitement of this new program area this year!

We look forward to this event this week and are thankful and happy for the relationship we have with he Montgomery Sunrise Rotary Club. Special thanks should also go out to Mr. Richard Bollinger, ourWater Playground incoming Board President, and Mr. Tom Mann, one of our board members, and Mr. Barry Cavan, past president of Easter Seals Alabama, who are very active members in this Rotary Club.
