Dangling Duo
Dangling Duo, anyone?! This morning one of our adventure courses, the Dangling Duo, was in action. The Dangling Duo looks like a giant’s ladder hanging from the sky.
The goal of the course is to make it to the top of the ladder without falling off. It looks simple, but there is a little catch. Each rung is farther apart from the last. Each duo must use teamwork to get to the top.
The group this morning was willing to help each other even if they weren’t on the ladder. Shouts of how to swing a leg over, where to grab the harness to help a partner up or how to reach the next rung could be heard around the area. The participants would try and listen to the suggestions, but sometimes it’s easier said than done.
This particular obstacle doesn’t run much during the summer, so it was a treat to see the Dangling Duo in use.
Camaraderie was felt among the participants. It gave them something to accomplish, maybe something to prove. More people were proving to themselves they could get to the top when most of the way up they didn’t think they would ever make it.

This morning all teams accomplished their goal, some a little faster than others, but they did it together.
