Camp ASCCA Journal - Therapeutic Recreation

This morning Allison Wetherbee and John Stephenson hosted our first live Camp ASCCA show online. We are using Ustream.tv to broadcast live interviews from various locations around camp. Ustream also allows us to broadcast live to millions of viewers in only a few minuets using only a laptop with a built-in camera.

This morning John and Allison talked about their roles in making ASCCA special. John is the Camp Administrator. His job entails taking care of all the business side of camp, as well keeping us on track with our goals set by our board of directors. You can tell just by seeing the way our camp looks and is running that he is doing a fantastic job.

Allison is our Public Relations Director. Allison first came to camp as a strong spirited camper born with no arms and no legs seeking to do things just like everyone else. Allison was recently hired back in November as our Public Relations Director and is now responsible for going and speaking to various civic and religious organizations about Camp ASCCA. She is truly an inspiration to us all by what she has accomplished and what she is doing for camp. We are truly thankful for both of them.
