Camp Seale Harris 2008 :: Camper Interview

This is Elizabeth’s 11th year coming to Camp Seale Harris and she is still ready for more. Elizabeth is always excited about coming to camp because even though she has many friends at home, not all of them have diabetes.

Here at camp, campers are all alike in that they all have diabetes. They can relate and support each other with their daily routine’s which include checking their sugar, taking shots, changing their pump site, and drawing-up insulin. All of these things are done by someone for the first time here. Camp really helps them learn and have the courage to do these things. Elizabeth has learned so much already and she says that she learns new things every year.
