Camp ASCCA :: Camp Director Matt Rickman

Lake Magazine spotlights Camp ASCCA’s Camp Director Matt Rickman! The magazine did a question and answer session with Rickman and tells us all a little bit more about his life here at Camp ASCCA.

Rickman lives and breathes camp. The article asks him questions about his life here at camp and what are his favorite memories. He said his favorite memories blend with camp and family. He sees many campers achieve goals they never could have done outside of camp, and he also, watches his family grow.

His summers are always full, but he said he would not have it any other way. Rickman’s children are just beginning to learn how to swim and enjoy some of the activities that are offered at camp. He said he is happy to see both his children and campers learn new things together.

Rickman said camp is his life, he loves what he does and it shows through his actions. He is glad to the interview with the Lake Magazine. He said it is a good way for Camp ASCCA’s name to be heard throughout the Lake Martin community. Many people do not realize that we are a year round camp and need a lot of support. Rickman said he would be happy to work with the magazine in the future and hopes they will continue to spotlight Camp ASCCA in the future.
