Oh Brother!!

This week Camp ASCCA is hosting Camp Seale Harris. One of our PR Interns has a brother attending the camp this week, and they have a history of Camp ASCCA together.

Our intern, Zeb Ramey, has been working at Camp ASCCA since late May, but he has visited Camp ASCCA many times in the past. His brother Phillip was diagnosed with diabetes when he was 3 years old. Their family started attending Camp Seale Harris Family Camp when Phillip was about 3 or 4 . Phillip is now attending Camp Seale Harris Senior Camp and has plans of becoming a CIT (Counselor in Training) one day.

Zeb has attended Camp ASCCA recently for RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards). Zeb said he found out about ASCCA job opportunities while attending RYLA. He applied for the Public Relations internship in Dec. 2007 and got the job in Feb. 2008. At Camp ASCCA Zeb performs tasks like interviewing campers and staff and updating our website.

Zeb and Phillip said they enjoy having each other at camp this week. Phillip said he likes to know there is always someone there that he can talk to about anything. Zeb said he likes spending this time with Phillip before Zeb leaves for college in August.

Each know things will be different, but they are both excited and ready for the changes in their friendship as brothers. We are excited to have them both here this week!
