Camper and CIT come from Florence

This week we are hosting the final week of Seale Harris with their Junior Week. The campers range from ages 6-12. We have with us this week a camper, Tucker Sigle, and a CIT, Ashlyn Pounder, from Florence, AL

Tucker and Ashlyn both have been coming to camp for several years. Ashlyn started coming to Camp when she was 10. She was diagnosed on her first day of fifth grade and started coming to camp the summer after. Ashlyn said that she learned so many thing from her counselors when she was younger that she always hoped that one day she too could become a counselor. Ashlyn has been a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) for the past two years with hopes of next year finally becoming a counselor. She has learned so much from the CIT program and from the counselors she worked with she feels confident she will make a great counselor. She has really had a great time at Camp Seale Harris 2008 and looks forward to coming back next year.

Tucker was diagnosed when he was 3 years old, however he did not learn about camp until he was 8 and he has becoming ever since. Tucker said that camp has really helped him out in knowing about places to put his site and being aware of what to do when his sugar is high or low. Tucker hopes to one day become a CIT and possibly a counselor.
