Camp ASCCA puts on some shades

Camp ASCCA’s new splash pad just received some shade today. The splash pad, which was completed earlier this year, is the newest program area. ItThe completed canopy gives campers an additional opportunity to enjoy themselves in the water.

The 2,800 square foot water playground is fully-accessible to campers with a range of abilities. Nationally, Camp ASCCA is the first Easter Seals camp to add an accessible water park to its activity areas.

working-canopy-3.jpgConstruction on the splash pad’s shade structure began Wednesday, June 11. The canopy covers part of the deck that connects to the splash pad. The canopy was installed by KorKat, Inc., a company that provides playgrounds and site amenities.

Measuring about 23 feet by 24 feet, the canopy will allow campers to take a break in theWorking on the canopy shade during their time at the splash pad. It will cool campers off, as well as keep them safe from the sun.
