Transfer Training :: Canoeing

Today counselors were trained on how to correctly transfer campers in and out of canoes. This is a very important process for counselors to learn to insure our campers safety while canoeing.
Campers are wheeled down to the lake front and then lifted by two trained counselors into
the canoe.
Some campers are transferred into a beanbag that we place in the front of the canoe to give the camper the most comfortable experience possible.
Canoeing is one of the many aquatic activities offered here at Camp ASCCA. We also have inner tubung, sit skiing, swimming pool, splash pad, and boat rides. You can see some of our counselors practicing the transfers here:
