Ashley Glaze is another one of our returning campers this week. Ashley has been coming to
Camp ASCCA for four years now and would not have it any other way.
She loves all the activities that camp offers. Although, Ashley said her favorite activity of the week is the prom!
During each session Camp ASCCA holds a dance for the campers. During Teen Week the dance is not just a dance. The dance is prom! If you have been to a high school prom then you know exactly what to expect!
There is good reason for this to be Ashley’s favorite activity. To her and the campers it is not just an activity it is an event, and for some it is the event of the summer!
Ashley told me that if she could tell the whole world one thing she would ask them to donate to camp if they can. She said at camp the love the counselors show the campers is something that brightens her day and one of her favorite memories of camp. She said they look at the inner person and not the wheelchair or disability.
Camp ASCCA is happy to have a camper like Ashley Glaze here this week!
