Fred :: A Fourth Year Camper

Today I had the pleasure of interviewing Fred. He has been coming to Camp ASCCA with the Mobile Rotary group for four years now, and loves it!

Fred told me the reason he loves camp is because it is fun, and he likes everything from the food to the zip line. He further told me that it is at Camp ASCCA that he feels most comfortable. To continue with our prom theme from teen week, Fred said Camp ASCCA is like home. He enjoys coming to camp every year. He told me that camp is something he looks forward to each year.

Fred’s favorite sport is basketball! He is always asking each staff member if we could play basketball with him. He likes the competition and companionship that comes from a friendly game of one-on-one basketball. If we let him I’m sure he would love to play basketball all day!

Fred is a talkative guy who I’m sure never meets a stranger. He told me he likes to meet new people and catch up with those he has met in the past. He also likes to help everyone out with their activities. Fred told me he likes to help Melissa, our Sports and Games Director, put out the equipment.

Fred is a joy to have a camp this week!
