Last Wednesday was Wild West Day here at Camp ASCCA. During lunch, our program staff presented their ASCCA Achievements while dressed up as cowboys and Indians.
First up was Melissa with Sports and Games. She presented Joe Ray with an award because he was smiling and having a good time.
Next came Emily. She presented Trish with the Tubing award because she had a blast on the tube. In fact, she rode with her hands in the air the whole time!
When Kara presented her award, she had the campers chant like an Indian! She said Pam stood out at Nature because she was very helpful, really nice, polite and she made her smile.
Campers “moo’d” for Melanie as she presented the award for Demo Farm. She said Vito had a huge smile on his face and wanted to pet each animal. Although he was quiet, she could tell her had a great time!
When it came time for the Music award, Zoe, a staff member’s daughter, helped her present the award. Mollie decided to give the award to Bill because after he made his instrument, he shook it and spun around the whole time!
Ashley, our horseback director, got the chance to present the award for the Splash Pad. She said the Pearl was running around laughing from start to finish during her activity.
Kate, Jonathon and Lauren said Reggie was so wonderful that they decided to make up a song about him. They had the campers repeat the song after them as Reggie came to get the award.
Last but not least, was Matt with the Fishing award. He presented Donald with the award because he had a great time and even caught a decent-sized fish.
