Christain Flies Down the Zip Line

Today I met up with Christain at the zip line. I walked up to the crowd just as campers were beginning to put their harnesses on to go down the zip line. I immediately saw the most excited person there, Christain. All she could talk about was how much fun she was going to have on the zip line. She was following all the rules and listening to what the adventure program staff had to say about being safe at the zip line.

When Jonathan asked who wanted to be the first person down the zip line this morning, Christain’s hand was, as expected, the first in the air. She had her helmet on and was ready to go. I saw no fear in her eyes, just excitement. Once hooked into the rope system Christain was able to begin pulling herself up to the top of the zip line. The whole way up we saw nothing but smiles on her face. She kept saying, “I’m doing it; I’m almost there!”

Christain made it to the top, and then it was time to get set to fly through the air. Once she sat on the edge she did a count down and leaned forward; she was sailing away down the zip line! We heard nothing but laughter and joy from Christain as she did her favorite activity at camp!
