This summer one of our first-time counselors, Cody Graham, says he has experienced the
time of his life.
Cody is about to begin his freshman year of college at, Huntingdon College. He was looking for a summer job and decided to check out some camps on the internet. Cody narrowed his search between Camp ASCCA and another camp in North Carolina. He decided he was not ready to leave Alabama yet, so he looked into Camp ASCCA more and decided to apply.
If you are wondering why Cody says he has had the time of his life this summer, then let me tell you what
I’ve seen of Cody.
I’ve seen Cody begin the summer a little nervous about what to expect, but he has taken each day with a positive outlook. He told me that working at Camp ASCCA has made him realize even when you think something is bad, it can be good. He said it is all how you look at the situation.
Cody said he has learned a lot from the campers about life. He said before camp he was more self-centered, but after working here he realizes life is better when others come first.
He said one of his favorite parts of the summer was being able to connect one-on-one with the campers.
Be sure to look for Cody on next years staff!!
