DIRECTIONS TO CAMP ASCCA, JACKSON’S GAP &
CAMP ASCCA, DADEVILLE CAMPUS
For clarity, please note that there are two separate locations for Camp ASCCA. Complete directions to both facilities are located below.
You may also visit Google Maps (or see the Google Map at the bottom of this post) and type in your city with a “end address” of “Jacksons Gap, AL” (don’t use the apostrophe in Jackson’s, as Google does not use it for the town’s name in their directory). This will provide the exact directions to Jacksons Gap and you’ll see one of three exits from US Hwy. 280 leading to camp.

The main campus is in Jackson’s Gap and there is also a facility in Dadeville, next to Still Waters, called Camp ASCCA - Dadeville. So, you should note that the entrance to Camp ASCCA - Jackson’s Gap is accessed via US 280 and the entrance to Camp ASCCA - Dadeville is accessed via AL 49. If you are attending a week long camp after July 1st and before September 1st, for example, you will likely be traveling to the Jackson’s Gap campus. If you are in doubt, please call camp at 1-256-825-9226 during the week before your visit.

To Camp ASCCA from:Birmingham
Birmingham: Take U.S. Hwy. 280 East from Alexander City. Go over the Tallapoosa River Bridge and travel approximately 3½ miles and turn left on Jackson’s Gap Way (there is a green Camp ASCCA/Jackson’s Gap highway sign at that turn pointing that direction). Travel approximately 1 mile and turn left on Co. Rd. 57/Main Street. Travel approximately ¾ mile and turn left on Rock Springs Rd. Travel 2 miles and turn left on Camp ASCCA Dr. Travel 6 miles to Camp ASCCA. *1½ -2 hour trip.
Montgomery
Montgomery: Take I-85 North, 32 miles to the Tuskegee/Franklin Exit 32 (AL Hwy. 49). Travel 31 miles to Dadeville and turn left on U.S. Hwy. 280 West. Travel approximately 4 miles and turn right on Co. Rd. 57. Continue in to Jackson’s Gap and take right on Abbett Rd. after Post Office. Take next right on Rock Springs Rd. Travel 2 miles and turn left on Camp ASCCA Dr. Follow road into Camp. *1½ hour trip.
Anniston
Anniston: Take I-20 East to Hwy. 9 South. Go south on Hwy. 9 to AL Hwy. 49 South. Travel on Hwy. 49 to Horseshoe Bend Military Park. Travel approximately 2 more miles and turn right on Rock Springs Rd. (green Camp ASCCA sign). Follow Rock Springs Rd. 4-5 miles and turn right on Camp ASCCA Dr. *2 hour trip.
Huntsville
Huntsville: Take I-65 South to Birmingham. Exit onto I-459 East to U.S. Hwy. 280 East and follow Birmingham directions. *3½ hour trip.
Mobile
Mobile: Take I-65 North to Montgomery and follow those directions for quickest route. *4-4½ hour trip.
Columbus, GA
Columbus, Take U.S. Hwy. 280 West through Phenix City to I-85. Take I-85 South to Opelika Exit 58 (U.S. Hwy. 280
GA: West). Follow Hwy. 280 past Dadeville and turn right on Co. Rd. 57. Continue in to Jackson’s Gap and take right on Abbett Rd. after Post Office. Take next right on Rock Springs Rd. Travel 2 miles and turn left on Camp ASCCA Dr. Follow road into Camp. *1½ hour trip.
Atlanta, GA
Take I-85 South to Opelika Exit 58 ( U.S. Hwy. 280 West). Follow Hwy. 280 past Dadeville and turn right at Co. Rd. 57 Detour sign. Follow signs to camp. *2½ hour trip.
To Camp ASCCA, Dadeville Campus from:
North AL
Follow U. S. Hwy 280 East to Dadeville. Turn right onto AL Hwy. 49 South in Dadeville. Follow Hwy. 49 through and past Dadeville. Turn right on County Rd. 34. Turn right on Camp Civitan Rd. The camp is at the end of the road.
South AL
Take I-85 North, 32 miles to the Tuskegee/Franklin Exit 32 (AL Hwy. 49). Travel north approximately 25 (Montgomery) miles, go past StillWaters Resort, and turn left on County Rd. 34. Turn right on Camp Civitan Rd. and the camp is at the end of the road.
or…
Travel west on U.S. Hwy. 280 to the Camp Hill area. Turn left on County Rd. 34. Follow County Rd. 34 (Opelika) and pass over AL Hwy. 49. Continue on road and turn right on Camp Civitan Rd. The camp is at the end of the road.
