Matt was first introduced to Camp ASCCA as a TR intern in the Spring of 1998. After graduating from the University of West Georgia he began working as a TR specialist for Tuscaloosa Parks and Recreation.
Later, he came back to Camp ASCCA as the Outdoor Adventure Director in January 1999. In 2004, Matt was hired as the Camp Director.
Matt and his family live at camp, but in his off time he enjoys spending time with them, playing golf and yes, camping. His wife Dana also works at Camp ASCCA as the Director of Marketing and Communications.
His favorite thing about camp is getting to know the campers and staff and witnessing how camp changes them both. He says he is “truly blessed personally and professionally”.
