The ARC Macon

Ever year in August we hold a one week Summer Camp. The Monday-Friday residential camp is held at Camp ASCCA in Jackson’s Gap, Alabama. Participants will enjoy lots of activities, including: Swimming, Water-slide, Boating, Tubing, Fishing, Crafts, Horseback riding, Tennis, Basketball, Archery, Putt-putt Golf, Zip-line, Dance, Talent Show, Movies, Games, and Relaxation. Lifeguards are provided by Camp ASCCA and life vests are available for non-swimmers. This is a wonderful camp and we have a great time each year!

Camp ASCCA is a nationally recognized leader in therapeutic recreation for children and adults with both physical and mental disabilities. It is located on 236 wooded acres on the shores of beautiful Lake Martin in Alabama.

Participants must have the ability to care for their own personal needs with limited supervision/assistance as the camp is staffed by volunteers. We welcome the opportunity to serve individuals with special needs but a care-giver would have to be identified.
