Friends of ASCCA: Christmas Time With Chad

Hey counselors, and campers! Emma, Justin, and I are doing the annual Jingle Jump fundraiser! Your donation will help continue making attending Camp ASCCA possible for individuals with disabilities. Please help us meet our goal to send a camper to Camp ASCCA in the summer. If we meet our goal, I’ll get to see Emma and Justin jump in the cold pool on December 16th. We are doing this in loving memory of former camper, Sammie Jacoby. If you would like to give, click here

Santa Claus is coming soon to deliver all the toys to children on Christmas Eve between 9 P.M. and midnight. Make sure you’re on your best behavior! On Christmas Eve, make sure to leave some cookies and milk for Santa. If you want to track Santa, click here.

I wrote a special Christmas poem for you and from everyone at Camp ASCCA:

‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the Camp

The grounds were quiet, and they are all with their families

The Chacos were hung in the cabins with care

In hopes that Summer 2024 would soon be there

Campers, CITs, and summer staff were nestled all snug in their beds

While visions of counselors danced in their heads.

Amber, Maggie, and Elise in their kerchief, and Matt, Tre, Jon, and Justin in their cap

Had just settled their brains for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter

I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.

The counselors and campers are here

And they shouted and called them by name

“On Dasher, on Dancer, on Prancer and Vixen

On Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen!

To the top of the porch, to the top of the wall

Now, dash away, dash away, dash away all!”

As leaves that before the wild hurricane fly

And Bad Weather ordered us to the gym for rainy day games

So up to the housetop the coursers they flew

With the sleigh full of toys, clothes, shoes, and St. Nicholas too.

He did his work silently and left

But I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight

“Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight! We love you Camp ASCCA!”
