Now that summer is over I get up at around 6:30-7:00 and walk my dog, watch my local news and check the weather for the day. I make my bed and get ready and dressed for the day. I also listen in the morning and at night to the radio, and always check the Camp ASCCA social media pages for what’s happening around camp.
I work as a janitor at the Coast Guard Base under Goodwill Gulf Coast. Monday-Thursday I work from 12:30-4:30, and Fridays I work 12-3:30. We all have different tasks to do, like restrooms, mopping, vacuuming, taking out trash, and cleaning showers. We go from building to building cleaning and my task is to vacuum. While I vacuum the office, I like sharing with the Coast Guard employees about Camp ASCCA, and I told them when camper registration begins for Summer 2023. I like to listen to Camp ASCCA: The Podcast on the way home from work. I now have Zoom Bingo to look forward to every Monday, and the monthly Arts & Crafts boxes.
