Meet the 2021 Summer Staff: Casey Little

Our lifeguard, Casey, on duty

Starting this week, we are getting to know our 2021 summer staff. Up first is one our Unit Leaders, Casey Little, and she is so excited to be back at ASCCA for her sixth summer. Casey will be starting her first year of Auburn University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling masters program this fall. After completion, she ultimately would like to work with individuals who have experienced trauma.

Before this summer, Casey has been a part of our staff serving in various positions. Her favorite staff role she fulfilled was as an Adventure Staff member. She really enjoyed being a program staff member because she “was able to spend quality time with all of the campers in each session”. Not only was Casey a program staff member, but she has also been a Counselor for two summers as well. She originally heard about ASCCA through a small group member at church during her freshman year of college and knew it was the place for her. During Camp Seale Harris and Alabama Pre/Post Adoption Camp, Casey was an Aquatics Staff member, and is eager to begin her new role as Unit Leader. She is most looking forward to having the opportunity to support and serve fellow staff in her leadership position. A boring fact about Casey is that she does not care if her food touches on her plate.
