Oh What Fun it is for Christmas in July

Session Four is one for the books with an energy like no other. Since check in and the dance on Sunday, campers have spread an immense amount of joy all around, and our staff sure has loved the abundance of happiness. On Monday, we held our Christmas program where campers were able to participate in a prize walk, “ice fishing” for prizes, bean bag toss, a snowball fight, hook the candy cane on the garland, and winter bowling. Before the program, we had a nice surprise from our Program Staff members who dressed up in a Santa costume, reindeer costume, and a snowman costume as they danced to Christmas music to spread the jolly spirit.

Tuesday of course called for the talent show, and it was no surprise that ASCCA has talent. When Wednesday rolled around, it was time for a pool/ pond day with evening free choice activities after dinner. At the pond campers had the option to fish, go on the big swing, use the sling shot at our water targets, or have the chance to hang out. Thursday wrapped up the great week with Mo Lowda and The Humble performing at the Back 4T followed by the weekly slideshow and our last goodnight song of the session. As we say our bittersweet “see you laters” this morning, we cannot help but think back to how this session has been a good week to have a great week.
