Old “Camp ASCCA” had a Farm

Ee i ee i… moo? This morning campers went to Camp ASCCA’s demo farm to feed and pet animals! Animals such as chickens, goats, sheep, cows, and a bunny puts smiles on campers faces for daily rotations. Each camper had the opportunity to pet the animals and even feed them too! Thankfully, campers and staff were in the shade as the temperature quickly heats up.

First, campers got to feed the two goats Camp ASCCA has which means double the fun! Everyone laughed as the goats ate food out of each campers hands. The goats were having as much fun as the campers! Soon, it was time to move on to Camp ASCCA’s favorite cow, Ashley.

It’s hard to miss Ashley as she walks around the farm giving each camper attention. Having all the food to herself, Ashley did not miss a camper as she ate out of everyone’s hands. Once Ashley’s stomach was full and happy, she walked back to her stall all by herself for a nap.

Next was Camp ASCCA’s bunny, Snow White. Unlike the goats and cow who were eager to eat, Snow White was calm and let all the campers take their time petting her. After all the campers had a turn, it was time to move onto the last animal, a chicken!

Campers were nervous about the chicken, but it did not last long. Campers took turns giving nose-kisses to the chicken and even let it rest on their heads! After everyone had a turn, demo farm was officially done for the morning and it was time for lunch.
