Since Camp ASCCA opened in 1976, I have had the privilege of knowing many of its supporters over the years. I began going to camp as a camper in 1978 and to this day, I remember many of these people by name. Camp ASCCA was their ‘baby’ and they were determined to see it succeed. Camp has truly been blessed over the years with dedicated men and women who have so generously given to camp in many ways.
That tradition continued when the Elks Clubs of Alabama came on board a few years ago. Since that time, Elks Clubs throughout Alabama and the Alabama Elks Association have been giving generously to Camp ASCCA on an annual basis. Their contributions can be seen throughout our campus in updates, renovations, new projects and activities, etc. The Alabama Elks Clubs have truly been a new blessing to Camp ASCCA!
On June 3rd, I had the opportunity along with Camp’s Administrator John Stephenson, to personally thank the Alabama Elks Association for this year’s contribution of $50,000! Because of these contributions Camp ASCCA can continue to grow, improve and thrive. We want to continue to be the best at what we do and that would simply not be possible without this kind of ongoing generosity. It’s appreciated beyond words!
