Like many places in north-central and north Alabama, we were only supposed to get a dusting or up to 1″ of snow here at Camp ASCCA. But we received much more than that! Our employees who live nearby made it home safely Tuesday late morning when it was apparent that the weather was taking a turn for the worse. The staff members who live at Camp, along with their families, enjoyed playing in the snow and warming up by a fire later in the evening. We DID, however, have two employees stuck south of Birmingham, but they were lucky to be near a Waffle House and a hotel! They made it home safe on Wednesday afternoon.
Besides a few more frozen pipes, all is well at Camp ASCCA and we look forward to warmer weather this weekend!
