Friends of ASCCA: Chad’s Week at Camp

Happy belated 4th of July counselors and friends! I had a great week! I arrived at Camp ASCCA just in time, and check-in went very smoothly. The wristbands that we wore in past years were replaced with nametags and a lanyard.

After checkin we got settled into our cabin, took camper/counselor pictures, and then went to the Big Stage to hangout, and get to know everyone. I got to see old friends and met lots of new ones!

On Monday, my group went to the demo farm with Konnor. I loved all the animals. After, we went to the pool, and Andie was our lifeguard. During free-choice we went to OutPost to hangout, and for evening free-choice we went on a boat ride.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, we swapped the schedule so we could avoid the rain. We went tubing with Anna, Tessa, and Andie, and then went to archery with Taylor. For free choice I chose to do painting at the OutPost and then play in the game room. The bad weather ordered everybody in the gym, but we played rainy day games. Tuesday night was the talent show in the basement of Lions Lodge.

On Wednesday, my group went to BcK4T and watched a movie, play video games, and hung out with the counselors. Since it was raining our pool party got canceled, but we got to choose between arts & crafts, the game room, or casino/bingo in the Dining Hall. Wednesday night we had a concert with Happy Landing.

On Thursday we went to the zipline with Maddie, Drew, Carson, and Faith. After that we went to arts & crafts with Clay.

Davis Cabin won the honor cabin that week. After the dance, we watched the slideshow and sang the Goodnight Song.
